近江渡来人倶楽部の思い

ha_edited_edited.png

April 1, 2000, just before the 21st century. It was the capital of Emperor Tenchi and has a particularly strong connection with immigrants.

The Omi Toraijin Club was born in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.

Our association aims to live proudly without hiding our roots and contribute to the local community in which we live.

By Koreans living in Japan and Japanese people who wish for a "spiritually rich Japanese society" that is tolerant and diverse.

It was established and continues to exist today.

They feel a sense of crisis about the current state of "historical awareness" and "intercultural understanding" in Japanese society,

For a nation to be a leader in the international community, these improvements are essential.

I believe there is.

To this end, the "Migrant History Museum" was opened in the spring of 2006 as a base for learning about history.

In the spring of 2008, the "Multicultural Coexistence Support Center (SHIPS)" was opened to promote intercultural understanding.

We are taking proactive steps.

2. We aim to realize a "multicultural society with tolerance and diversity" where modern immigrants, such as Japanese and other Asians, can live fulfilling lives as members of the local community by improving the "lack of understanding" and "exclusionary attitude" toward them.
